Happy Birthday to Our Flag!

On September 3, 1777

Patriot General William Maxwell

raised this flag at Cooch's Bridge, Maryland, marking the first time that an American flag had flown in battle. On June 14, 1777, the Continental Congress, seeking to promote national pride and unity, adopted the national flag.

1176 Reenactment reading of The Declaration of Independence.

This 4th of July, our  Chaplain of Veterans of Arizona City, it is our host of the Veterans of Arizona City 1st Annual 4th of July public reading of The Declaration of Independence, just as it was done in Independence Square, Philadelphia, Pa back in 1776.

This event will take place in the Gospel Light Ministry Church, 13350 S Sunland Gin Rd, Arizona City, Az 85123, starting at 9:30 AM on the 4th of July. Let's all fill the church and hall with the Patriotic Spirit endowed upon us by this famous proclamation!

There will be multiple readers, along with an opening statement from our Pinal County Recorder, Dana Lewis.
